Vistara is one of three full-service carriers in India, owned by Tata Sons in partnership with Malaysia Airlines. It commenced operation in the Indian skies from January 9, 2015. Vistara marked the return of the Tata Group in the aviation business that owned the national airline – Air India – before the government purchased it. This carrier is credited for bringing the concept of the Premium Economy services in the country. Currently, it serves nine destinations in the country with 68 frequencies, and aims at operating around 400 flights every day, by the end of the year 2015. As per reports, it has recently announced two daily flights to Hyderabad, a part of its expansion plan.
Timings
For the convenience of travellers, one flight in the morning and the other one in the evening have been scheduled. From Delhi these flights take off at 6.40 am and 5.15 pm, and the return is scheduled at 9.30 am and 8.00 pm from Hyderabad. As per the press release by company, the capacity has been added as a result of the customer demand. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Vistara, Phee Teik Yeoh expressed his happiness on this expansion, and said that the passenger traffic on this route looks promising. In addition, he mentioned that Hyderabad is a perfect fit in the endeavour of the carrier to promote business travel in the country as it is emerging as the most preferred corporate destinations.
