2 More Options Added in Vistara Flight Tickets Booking List

The Tata group was the first business conglomerate that started aviation services in India. It used to operate De Havilland Puss Moth, which was used to carry air mails, and the company name was Tata Air Mail. However, after a few years, the name of the company was changed to Tata Air Services, after it launched its first domestic flight. Later, it was taken over by the government of the country, and is now operating with the brand name Air India. After decades, Tata Sons decided to launch another airline and came up with Vistara – a joint venture with Malaysia Airlines. Along with offering economical Vistara flight tickets booking options, the carrier ensures that quality services are offered during the journey.

Vistara

Both the parent companies invested a combined fund of $100 million to start-up this airline in India. It is the third full-service carrier in the market, which is dominated by low-cost carriers (LCCs). The announcement regarding the joint venture was made in 2013, but started operations on January 9, 2015. Vistara flight tickets booking option allows travellers to enjoy premium services at economical cost. It is the first carrier to introduce the concept of premium economy class in the country.

Currently, this airline operates more than 150 flights everyday with 5 Airbus A320-232. The delivery of 15 more models from the same manufactures, including Airbus A320 Neos, are due before 2018. It monitors and operates most of the flights from its primary hub at Indira Gandhi International Airport, and currently connects seven cities of the country. As per reports, the carrier is planning to commence operations to high-density airports, and hence will launch Delhi to Guwahati and Bagdogra flights in April, 2015.

Operations

This full-service provider operates across five busiest airports of the country – Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Ahmedabad and Goa. It is also targeting at another one in the north-eastern part of the country. Soon, travellers can enjoy its services on the Delhi-Guwahati route. Apart from this, the airline authorities said that it will also cater to the demand on Delhi and Bagdogra route.

This Delhi-Guwahati-Bagdogra flight will take off from the capital city and will stop at Guwahati for a brief interval and will continue to Bagdogra. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company said that the commencement of this service reaffirms the promise of carrier to add Tier II and III cities in the Vistara flight tickets booking option list. He also expressed his happiness on the network expansion.

It is also one of those air service operators that are in favour of abolishing the 5/20 rule. The current regulation, 5/20 states that carriers have to operate in domestic market for at least 5 years before starting international operations. Another criterion is that carriers own at least 20 aircraft in their fleet size before they can operate Mumbai to Bangkok or other such flights. Hence, it is expected that it may announce operations as soon as the rule is removed. However, The company plans to add capacity on existing ones, such as Delhi to Pune flights, and launch a number of domestic services before commencing global operations.

Hence, a number of many other Indian cities will make its way through the Vistara tickets booking option list, in the coming future.
